Ekna Ukraine took part in the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the National Cancer Institute

The National Cancer Institute is a powerful player in oncology. Almost half of all cancer patients in Ukraine are treated here. The best specialists of the country work in its walls – 13 professors, 27 doctors of sciences, 95 candidates of sciences and 12 honored doctors. In total, the working staff numbers 1,200 physicians, ten of whom are trained abroad each year. On this occasion, leading specialists in the field of oncology gathered on the territory of the NSC “Olympic” sports complex. The celebration of the 100th anniversary was combined with the 14th Congress of Oncologists and Radiologists of Ukraine, which is held in Kyiv every five years. The event lasted from September 30 to October 2.

The solemn events on the occasion of celebrating the anniversary of the NSC “Olympic” were attended by the Minister of Health, Deputy Chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Prevention and Control of Cancer of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Health, Medical Care and Health Insurance, members of the Academy of Sciences, and directly, the management of the institute.

At the event, Ekna Ukraine specialists presented high-quality ultrasound equipment from VK Medical (Denmark). This manufacturer is well known in the field of surgery, whose equipment has long proven to be indispensable for diagnosis during surgery.
